  1. Just so I know we’re talking apples to apples, when you mentioned the mild swear in the opening, we’re you referring to the “oh cr*p”, or when you whispered “oh sh*t” right after?

Man, those Boss tracks were so good! That Last Bible III track in particular got me going. I felt totally pleased that I recognized Masashi Kageyama/Sunsoft and Hitoshi Sakimoto/Terpsichorean immediately, but was rather disappointed that I missed the PSIV track and incorrectly attributed the Heavy Nova track as a Ron Hubbard joint, and also mistook the Rocket Knight Adventures track as being from Streets of Rage III(it has that vibe though, doesn’t it!?). All in all, super boss.

  2. Zero-Two.

While I clearly need to fix my mistake of not having listened to the Kirby 64 soundtrack, I have heard Zero-Two's theme somewhere, arranged, and it made an impression. It kept stirring up vague recollections during its sublime duration here.

    This was quite a journey.

    Pleasure dancing with you.

  3. I am so happy there is a KBOS sequel!!! This is so great! :D

The devil is the preacher's best friend, as the hero is Boss Key's best friend. It is the yin-yang connection of good and evil. I love how there is all this egging on to push each other to provide a real challenge. And when Boss Key shouts "DANCE!" you better get those little legs movin', or else!

The script and voice acting was tons of fun, and that tracklisting! Wow. So many red hot bangers in there. I like the flow of the mix too, how it kind of builds on itself and changes up the tempo. It's like it starts funky, gets faster, then becomes more chaotic, and then heroic. You really capture the feel of a good boss battle experience throughout both KBOS episodes.

Great work! I can't wait for more sequels. I hope we get KBOS III: Revenge of Columns and KBOS IV: Lightening Force.

  4. So... they just took Eye of the Tiger and made it a boss track?

I guess I'm ok with it, since my socks have been rocked right off.

  5. I cannot hear the phrase “Assorted Boos” without hearing “assorted booze”. Can’t do it.

When I heard the Heavy Nova track, my first reaction was confusion. Scanning the playlist, I thought, “I don’t see Rob Hubbard’s name anywhere”. And yet those trademark Western instruments and trembling L. Rob electric guitars were all over that track; I was convinced it was either Hubbard or early Furniss.

Obviously, Keyglyph HAD to have messed up. “How is it that no one caught that? How did I not catch it the first time around?”, I thought.

I downloaded the OST and started listening. In spite of having the same toms, NONE of the other tracks have that similar western feel, or even use the same western-sounding guitar or synth pads. Every other track sounds strongly Japanese in compositional style. I find it amazing that BossKey picked the one track out from that OST that sounds that way.

And lastly, this whole episode is just classic.
