Ep. 72: Classy Party Building

You may have heard that Josh broke his leg last Friday -- but as it turns out, a few separated bones weren't enough to keep him from recording an episode. Join Emily and the other patrons at his bedside a mere three days later to get caught up on the whole story, including the choice language, angels, and mobile games therein. Emily is clearly ecstatic to have her co-host safe and sound in her classy overworld party this week, and we know you will be, too.

KFWY

On Episode 59, Emily and Josh imagined a world where we had VGM radio stations based on different themes. This week, they make that dream come true with KFWY, the Fairway, a station with ultra chill golf tunes and a DJ who reads blog spam as if it were fan mail. So turn that dial over to KFWY, and make sure you're caller number 80.

Ep. 71: Sugar and Wheat

Josh and Emily forgot to mention that this week would be a special episode, so... surprise! Welcome to Josh's VGM (Video Game Media) Room, a place where he likes to enjoy pop culture gaming items that aren't the games themselves. Jump on this nostalgia train and take a tour of commercials, foods, and television themes starring some of your favorite electronic franchises. There might not be a lot of furniture in front of the flat screen yet, but grab a carpet square, pour yourself some garbage cereal, and settle in for this experimental VGMJB adventure.

Ep. 70: Who Says Booyah?

Dreams really do come true, especially if you've stolen some potion from Emily's inventory. Join her and Josh as they witness imagined game soundtracks come to life with the help of Ed from Pixeltunes Radio. Topics of conversation include Definitely Darryl's family, the nature of bass, the potential attitudes of Boos, the incongruity of medieval video games, and what makes something sticky. Then, hold on to your hats for a brand new segment, "Reading the Runes" wherein Emily recounts her adventures in Ultima IV. Finally, get ready to be dazzled by Mixxmaster's VGM beatboxing! Need I mention that these jams are jams? What are you waiting for? Slip into the bar for another shot of The VGM JUKEBOX!

Ep. 69: Just a Rune

A few weeks ago, Josh and Emily visited Ed and Mike of PixelTunes Radio to listen to some patron picks at PTR's place -- and they came home with a doggy bag of extra tracks! Join them on a quest to listen to those final three listener recommendations, and along the way ponder the mysteries of Stonehenge, the henchman probability in Gotham City, and that good good like whoa, bruh. When does childhood end? Does medieval fiction naturally beget tons of lore? And why was your character eating that sandwich, anyway? Look at the runes and do your best to meditate upon these questions... despite the sound effects in the background.
