Thesis Defense: WSXY with The Diad

ATTENTION STUDENTS AND FACULTY: Please tune into Haju University's campus radio station to attend this month's thesis defense, presented by your fellow student Theodore Diad! Listen along as he thoughtfully interviews Glen Bellisario, a private investigator whose assignments always, inexplicably, turn sexy. If you weren't convinced that Japanese adult visual novels from the 80s and 90s had amazing music, this might be the proof you need!

  1. Yes! Yes! YESSS!!! What a delightful ball of weirdness with flat out amazing jams interspersed throughout. Excellent work The Diad! I enjoyed this so much, I immediately listened to it a second time, and I fully intend to listen to it a few more times before the next episode drops. Great job editing together conversations with yourself. This was such an unexpected dissertation topic and frame story. I really don't know where else I would find anything else quite like this anywhere. That's what I love about these user created radio stations. They are so unique and quirky, and the tunes are just fantastic.

    1. Thanks JT! It was a lot of fun to make. I sort of wish I had saved the stuff I cut out or otherwise decided not to keep.

Or maybe a video of my wife reacting to my conversation with myself.

    2. I'm working on a dissertation station myself, which has some similarities to yours. I do voices for different characters and have conversations with myself as well. Keyglyph told me she thinks we are soul brothers. My topic also incidentally gets into some "adult" games, so when I first saw your topic was ksxy I panicked a little, thinking that we might have picked some of the same tracks. Thankfully, there is no overlap. I hope you (eventually) enjoy my dissertation station as much as I enjoyed yours. :)

I don't even want to know how my wife would react to mine. :p

    3. I am very much looking forward to this. Maybe someday we can "co-publish a research paper" on the genre.

My wife was originally going to make a cameo, but let's just say she wasn't exactly understanding what my goal was.

    5. I'm thinking something like JT and The Diad present... 8 continuous hours of jazz noises.

  3. All I can say is wow. Diad you have made a fan out of me. That was a Magnum Opus of VGM podcasting. Since downloading it yesterday, I've listened to it four times already. "The Diad presents" picked up a new subscriber.

  4. Oh, [grawlix]. I love me some VGM, and I love me some VGMJB. However, as true as these facts are, I have NEVER interrupted my morning prep routine to dance around the kitchen like a coke-addled backup dancer to an early-90’s Kid n’ Play video. Never until today, that is. You sir, have hereby been found guilty on seven tracks of sensual misconduct.

  5. It was the Dial Q o Mawase! track that made me lose my [grawlix], if you must know.

  6. Over a year later(somehow seems so much longer), that Dial Q o Mawase! track still makes me groove in the aforementioned manner. The whole dissertation is so good! SO MUCH MISCONDUCT
