Ep. 44: Under a Groove

Full disclosure: This episode was recorded on Election Day, so Josh was not sure whose crown he would soon be polishing (it's his job). But despite their enthusiasm about the democratic process, Josh and Emily imagine an entirely new political system -- one in which we replace our current economy with the construction of a single giant robot. Don't worry though, dear patron, its design will be realistic and practical. Stick around for Shiny Pokémon talk, as Emily reveals the depths of her mysterious commitment to palette-swapped 'mon. And stay strapped-in for the long-awaited return of the Carrot Man. It should go without saying, but of course this will all be served on a bed of piping hot jams. Yeah, you got it, it's the VGM Jukebox!

  1. Hi. I'm wondering if you could help me pick out a Gundam. I want a Gundam who outwardly expresses a great love for Kierkegaard, but who privately is more of a Wittgenstein fan. My Gundam should have a strong work ethic, but still be able to party on the dancefloor. This Gundam must use impractical weapons for practical purposes. My Gundam is usually shy, even reclusive, but a natural performer when playing in a comedic role. I need my Gundam to exhibit a je ne sais quoi of vulnerability from a troubled past, but strength in the heart of battle. Do you have anything like that on sale here? I've only got a 20 dollar budget.

  2. I prefer Macross myself. In any case, that Sonic track was so bonk! However, the drums sounded terrible, especially that snare. To this day, I maintain that the Genesis would have gotten so much less criticism had it had better sampling.
